Casa de Las Remigias

01

The Apartments CASA DE LAS REMIGIAS in the centre of Estepona, are located in an iconic building dating from the end of the nineteenth century.

The first owner, Remigio de la Calle Navarrete, came from Coín and had a fabric shop in Plaza El Egido, now Plaza Doctor Arce. Later on the building passed to his nieces, Ángeles and Isabel Jiménez who were known as ‘LAS REMIGIAS’.

En los años 70 el edificio fue adquirido por la familia Pérez, procedente de Córdoba, fundadores del Mesón Cordobés, ubicado en la contigua plaza de las Flores.

The building of CASA DE LAS REMIGIAS features thick walls and a pitched gable roof. It is distinguished by its mansion-type style and its very central position in the town and is listed as a building of cultural interest in Estepona.

At present the house is divided into two properties. One of these has been recently refurbished for tourist use, while carefully maintaining the charm of its original features. It comprises four totally-equipped apartments. Very central, only 200 metres from the beach and right in the centre of the business and leisure area of the town, the apartments are an ideal place to stay from where you can enjoy the beach, the hidden corners of the town, its squares and excellent restaurants, while breathing in the typically local ambience of the tranquil streets in this attractive municipality on the Costa del Sol.
